You’ve discovered that you and your partner are expecting - huge congratulations! What an exciting time for you and your families!
As a parent myself, I know from experience that there’s nothing quite as special or as life changing as the birth of a baby. I’m absolutely thrilled for you and wish you all the very best.
Once your pregnancy news has been celebrated with friends and family, you’ll probably want to start making plans and getting organised. Although nine months may seem like a long time, it isn’t that long at all and there is plenty to consider before your new baby arrives.
Your sweet little one (or two/three if you’re expecting multiples) will soon be in your arms, but before then you’ll need to get prepared. There will be essentials that you’ll need to buy and practical considerations too.
One thing you may wish to consider during your pregnancy is whether or not you’ll book a professional newborn photoshoot. These are done in the first days or weeks after birth, so it’s important to consider and book a newborn photographer during your pregnancy if this is something you’d like to do.
Newborn photography is a popular way to document and celebrate the arrival of a baby. They’re also a lovely way to ensure that you have beautiful photographs of you with your child too – these will be portraits that you’ll love to look at both now and in the future, I assure you.
Professional newborn portraits are not just snapshots, like the images you can take on your smartphone at home. They’re a different league of photograph altogether! Professionally styled and edited, they are works of art that you’ll be proud to display on your walls at home.
If a newborn photography session is something you’d like to do once your baby arrives, then you’re in the right place. I have created an essential guide to newborn photography for parents in Yorkshire, and it’s available for you to download for free.
The guide is a downloadable PDF which covers everything from:
· when to book a newborn photography session
· how to choose a newborn photographer
· what to take with you on the day of your newborn photoshoot
· what to expect if you choose me as your photographer
· and much more besides!
It also comes complete with a newborn packing checklist that you can print at home or download to your phone for easy reference. When you’re packing your bag ready for your baby’s photoshoot, this will prove handy!
